4 Fun Ways To Get A New Perspective On Your Investments

Try out these fun ways to get a new perspective on your investments, and live a little too while you’re at it…

Sometimes burying your head in the numbers too long doesn’t help achieve those breakthroughs or lead to the insights you really need to leap toward your goals. Often those “a-ha” moments come when you are doing something else. So, give yourself a pass to enjoy life a little more this month, and you might just find more of the answers you are looking for at the same time.

Travel

One of the best ways to get a new perspective on anything is to travel. It can open your eyes to how great other places are, and tear down your misconceptions. Or it may reinforce that you were on the right track in the first place. Either conclusion is good. It can also give you new strategies, and a better understanding of markets and consumers. So, take a day trip to a new city, or take a month and immerse yourself in a new destination.

Indoor Skydiving

If you want to do the real thing, go for it! Otherwise there are now many indoor skydiving options around the country, that may be more affordable too. Enjoy the adrenaline rush. Do it with people you love, and remember why you are investing in the first place. Or go solo and remember what you are capable of if you just try it. Then think about getting that eagle-eye perspective on your finances and investments. What does it look like from the outside, and looking at the big picture?

Surf

If you already love surfing, get out and into your sweet spot. Get in your zone, and refocus. If you’ve never tried it; grab a lesson! It’s not expensive. Trying new things will renew your passion for life and give you confidence. You’ll likely also find it is easier and more enjoyable than you thought and find that getting hit by a few waves, and falling off your board a couple times isn’t as bad as you anticipated. It happens. You get back on and try it again.

Yoga

If you are looking for something a little more mindful and relaxed, yoga might be a great fit. Do it alone or with a private instructor as part of your meditation practice, and just get more clarity on what you want and need. Or join a more lively power yoga class, and build your mind and body, with new moves. It can help you in connecting more dots when it comes to your money, and strategic thinking for building a better investment portfolio.

-----------

Sometimes the best ways to get a breakthrough with your finances is by taking a break, and gaining a new perspective. Above are just a few of the ways to apply this. If you haven’t tried them out yet, then give these a try and see the benefits for yourself.
